Magic of Life Butterfly House
We set off Sunday morning and our first stop was the Magic of Life Butterfly House near Aberystwyth.
It was fabulous as you are actively encouraged to hold the butterflies. They have several pots of nectar that you can dip your finger in. Then if you hold your finger in front of a butterfly it will usually step onto you.
Powis Castle
Next we stopped at McDonalds for some food before continuing north to Powis Castle. We were there for their Enchanted Christmas night time event.
Christmas scenes are projected onto the outside of the castle and the inside had been thoroughly decorated in old fashioned traditional Christmas style.
Welshpool
That evening we stayed at The Royal Oak in Welshpool, which was superb.
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we had a little walk around the town of Welshpool before heading south to The National Cycle Museum in Llandrindod Wells. Unfortunately, the museum was closed, so we spent some time playing in the park instead.
