Thursday evening we drove to Weston-Super-Mare, arriving just in time to see the sunset over the beach.
We parked up on the industrial estate and waited for Andy to join us in his van. The next morning a friendly fox visited before we moved Rockstar to a prime spot by the seafront. We paid for a day’s parking and used Rockstar as a base whilst we explored the town, enjoyed the beach and the Water Adventure Play Park .
Brean Splashpark
On Saturday we spent the morning at Brean Splashpark which was a bit of a disappointment. The only outside ride Abi was tall enough to go on was shut and the queue for the two inside rides was insane. That just left a regular swimming pool and a splash park. We could have just gone back to the Water Adventure Play Park and save a few quid. We spent the afternoon at the beach and exploring Weston-Super-Mare on our bikes. That evening we enjoyed a meal out at Reevo.
Helicopter Museum
On Sunday, Abi & I visited the Helicopter Museum, whilst Andy did some cycling. Later that day we pointed both vans in the direction of London. We had a quick pitstop with Nanny & Grandad before parking up for the night near Hampton Court.
London
Monday we took Abi on the train for her first trip into central London. We visited:
- Big Ben
- Downing Street
- Buckingham Palace
- St James Park
- Tower Bridge
- The Tate Modern
- Millennium Bridge to St Pauls
That evening Andy & Abi headed home, whilst I spent the night outside a friends in Molesey. Tuesday I had to do a day in the office in Canon Street, London and then drove all the way back to Wales that evening.
