We headed north in our Citroen Relay van with our dog Rex. Our destination was Elgin, on the north coast of Scotland to visit our friends Av & Alan.
We stopped in Birmingham for dinner with our friends Vicky & Dan. Then we continued north, for our next stop in Edinburgh.
Our friends Av & Alan live in a converted church in a small village called Portknockie, with their grey hound Saffie.
Over the next few days our friends took us to see the local sights and visit the local towns and beaches including Fraserburgh and Lossiemouth.
After we left Avrils & Alans we visited the family castle… Duffus Castle.
From here, we drove through the highlands past Loch Ness and Loch Lomond all the way to Glasgow. We enjoyed the views, but not the mosquitoes.
From Glasgow we headed back to Wales with a brief stop at Blackpool.
