We arrived at the Hotel Quentin in Amsterdam on Friday 27th December. We joked it had the world’s steepest staircase.
On Saturday we did plastic ice skating in Dam square and tried our luck in the casino.
On Sunday we went to Artis Zoo and returned for our final night in the hotel. It turned out to be a night to remember, as found ourselves waking up in a murder scene! As we were leaving the hotel through the usual side door, we were greeted by news cameras and police officers and found ourselves inside the police do not cross tape.
A police woman was very surprised to see us stood their with our cases and explained that a murder had taken place and the hotel was closed. She joked that the Colonel Mustard did it with the candlestick. She took our room key and promised to pass it on. We quickly headed for the airport.
