On Tuesday 22nd January 2002 we flew to Geneva and hired a Ford Fiesta to drive down to our friend Ian Carter’s apartment in La Grande Terche where we stayed for 9 days.
This forms part of the Port du Soleil ski resort.
We hired snow blades and managed a blue run in Morzine, it was so much fun.
The next day we decided to try skis, but we only lasted an hour before returning them to the shop and going back to snow blades.
On Friday we went to Morzine and Les Gets and really did some miles.
On Saturday we ventured to Avoriaz, the queues were so long that we returned to Les Gets. My arms were so sore from balancing.
It rained on Sunday so we chilled at the apartment, then on Monday we did some red runs in Les Gets.
Tuesday we returned to Les Gets and completed a black mogul run twice! I think mogul runs are far easier on blades than skis.
On Wednesday we flew home.
