After the shambles that was the TUI trip to Lapland, we decided to try out Jet2Holidays. This had the instant advantage of an increase in luggage weight, from 15kg with TUI to 22kg with Jet2. This was most appreciated as Andy takes his own bicycle on holiday so suitcase space is always at a premium. On the downside it meant we had to fly from Bristol Airport instead of Cardiff but we booked a room at the George & Dragon pub in Felton which is a 5 minute drive from Bristol Airport and a place I’d definitely recommend. Our room was spacious and exceptionally clean.
We stayed at the Mirador Maspalomas by Dunar, Maspalomas in Gran Canaria. The hotel was pretty good but unfortunately our room was directly above the Axe Throwing bar underneath which causes the floor to vibrate.
Sand Dunes
We took the complimentary shuttle bus to explore the sand dunes.

Aqualand
Included with our all inclusive hotel package was unlimited access to the nearby Aqualand. I must admit, this was a big factor in helping us decide on a hotel. Aqualand was fantastic, Abi is now pretty brave and really enjoys the fast rides. Being off season meant there were no queues anywhere which was fantastic.
One of the highlights for Abi was the bendy bus that took us from Bristol Airport back to our car.
