Nanny took Aunty Teresa, Abi and I to visit Father Christmas at his home in Lapland.
We flew with TUI from London Gatwick to Rovaniemi Airport. We stayed at the Santa Sport Hotel in Rovaniemi.

Whilst I would recommend Lapland and a visit to Santa Claus Village, I would not recommend doing this trip with TUI. It was a continuous hard sell, we were rushed about beyond belief and the staff were hopeless. The organisation and communication from TUI was abysmal.
The TUI Taster Day
- kids snow mobile rides
- 3 minute husky dog ride
- skiddo trip to visit Santa – this was very good.
- cookie decorating with the elves

Santa Claus Village
We had one free day which we decided to spent at Santa Claus Village. We arranged this ourselves and took a taxi from the hotel. The village itself is free to enter and wander around, you just pay for anything you want to do.
We did a reindeer ride, enjoyed lunch in Mrs Clauses cafe, visited the North Pole Post Office and browsed the shops. All the time enjoying the stunning scenery.

Snowman World
Adjoined to Santa Clause Village is Snowman World. There is an admission charge to enter Snowman World, but I think it was worth it. We did snow tubing, iceskating and visited an ice pub.
There were lots of passageways to explore with numerous intricate snow carvings on the walls.
