This was our first proper vanlife holiday. We took our white panel transit van on the ferry from Portsmouth to Cherbourg. We set off on Monday 25th June.
Our first night was spent outside Chateau Gontier.
By the next afternoon we had driven all the way south to La Rochelle. After a walk around the town we stayed in the Fast Hotel.
The next day we drove over to Isle de Re, it cost £11 to cross the bridge!). We had a fantastic pizza in Saint Martin.
By Thursday, it was time to drive back to St Malo where we found a beautiful sandy beach , rocky bay and some ruins.
We spent the night in the van and tried very hard to go in the sea, the next day but it was just too cold.
We got the ferry home on Friday 29th June.
